Hand Crafted in Alaska

Brad Lowery

Crafted in the North. Inspired by the Creator.

Lowery Guitars was founded by Brad Lowery in Anchorage, Alaska — a place where towering spruce meet glacial rivers, and every breeze carries a song. Each Lowery guitar is more than an instrument; it’s a story. Every piece is handcrafted with reverence for the wood, the music, and the Maker.

Brad’s journey into guitar building began not just in the workshop, but in worship. With a deep appreciation for both craftsmanship and sound, Brad traces his love for music and luthiery to the ultimate craftsman and inventor of melody itself — the Creator. Having served as a youth pastor in Fairbanks and now as an executive pastor in Anchorage, Brad sees guitar building as both a calling and an offering.

At Lowery Guitars, we seek out woods that have a soul of their own — aged, storied, and wild. Our builds often feature rare materials like 200-year-old logs reclaimed from the silty depths off of Baranof Island, or hand-sawed cedar that’s lain buried and preserved in Alaska’s soil for over a century. These aren’t just tonewoods; they’re heirlooms waiting to sing again.

Just as Brad has an eye for unique woods, he also has a taste for small-batch craft — especially when it comes to coffee. Like his guitars, he favors the rich character and care found in boutique-roasted beans over the bland uniformity of mass-market blends. It’s all part of the same philosophy: value the story, respect the source, and create something worth savoring.

Whether you’re a seasoned musician or just beginning your journey, we invite you to experience the depth, warmth, and character of a guitar that carries the heart of Alaska — and the hand of its Maker.
